I was tagged by sir Infelice to do this 10 facts whatever. I’m not good at this that’s why I rarely post interesting facts about myself, but let’s see. XD
1. I like superheroes. Thus, this doodle gif.
2. I’m currently playing City of Heroes, and my character is cryokinetic (because I want to try something that is not related to bows and arrows; I’ve always been an archer in RPGs).
3. I named that character Arctic Field because all the coolest superhero codenames I could think of had already been taken.
4. I had tacos for lunch today. I love tacos.
5. I tried to be vegetarian once, in college, seriously. But I couldn’t. Because I love tacos.
6. But tacos are not the love of my life. I just mentioned it because it’s relevant today. The love of my life would have to be… pasta. And noodles. Love them.
7. I love animals. And plants. I’m that Save-Planet-Earth-type of person.
8. My ultimate dream is to publish my own comic and for it to be so good that movie producers would want to make it into a film.
9. God I’m so hungry now.
10. My mind just went blank.

And I never thought it would be this sad. It’s heartbreaking, like that thing you feel when you break up with someone. It’s just like that awful familiar feeling. As I fix my desk for the last time and pack my things, I can’t help but wish that I could stay somehow. But in three words you can really sum up everything about life. It goes on.

The saddest moments usually turn out to be the happiest. So I’m hopeful that this is gonna be good. I should be happy now.

So yeah, I am not home for Christmas because the day inconveniently fell on a Sunday, which means on the day after we would have to go back to work. A trip back home would be a six-hour drive, so it would really be exhausting to go there and leave just right after the merrymaking. This is the first time I’m celebrating Christmas without my family. Although I’ll be having the Christmas dinner with my grandmother and a few relatives, it still feels different.

However, I’m happy with the early Christmas presents that I got. LOL

First photo. A coworker gave me the second volume of the Scott Pilgrim series as a present. Then I bought the third volume right after as a gift for myself. Several months ago, I had promised I’d buy myself a tablet for Christmas, but I failed to save money for that. So, here’s a Scott Pilgrim book, which is not really bad for an alternative.

Second photo. That’s our Christmas tree the first time it was set up.

Third photo. That’s our Christmas tree this morning. It looks beautiful at night because of the Christmas lights. Disregard my right hand in a really awkward position. Blurring my face because I’m fugly, anon says.

And then, there are people who will really take the time just to tell you you’re fugly. Physical attractiveness is subjective, anon. I’m sorry I can’t please you with how I look although it’s not really my problem anymore.

I like to listen. Even if your whole world is in chaos and you never speak, I would still hear you.

Before, during, and sort of after.

I’ve never had a decent new haircut. Every new haircut looks different from one another, although I just always tell the stylists the same thing, layered. This is the reason why it takes months before I get a new one. Well anyway, getting a bad haircut is like losing a lover ya know. It grows back in time.

Because I’m a writer too.

Once upon a time, there was a doctor. He was a poor doctor. He was so poor that he couldn’t afford to buy a house, so he lived in the street.

As a doctor, his specialization lay in the areas of psychiatry. He dealt with weird patients.

He was always on the go, always prepared to help anyone.

But one day, while he was crossing the street, a crazy woman shouted, “There’s a car behind you!”

But it was not a car. It was a truck, a big garbage truck. And so he died.

THE END.

Halloween, 2008. We had a costume party, and a photo shoot around the city after. I dressed up as a doctor because it was convenient. Good times. Photo credit goes to Toto Luna, a really cool archi major, great photographer, loving friend.

First pic: GPOY for my new followers. Hello hello. I like my shirt. It says “Please pay first before pumping.

Second pic: We have pseudo-adopted a kitten (my grandma is still against the idea but the cat never leaves the house). I named her Miss Emma Frost because she’s a naughty kitty. She always steals food from Sausage.

Third pic: And so Sausage shows how annoyed he is about Emma’s presence.

Fourth pic: And yeah, I found Waldo.

I like Batman because he’s capable of being a superhero despite the absence of a super-ability. He’s like us, but with something extra.
Money.
And traumatic experiences that led to posttraumatic growth.

I didn’t know these books existed until yesterday! On a side note, I’m hoping I can start reading my copies of the Hunger Games Trilogy this weekend. Let me have time, universe!

What’s your story? Some stories are short. Some would make a good book, or even a movie. But every story is the same old story. Every story is just a retelling of the same old stories that have already been told across the world. Some have just been expressed too quietly to be heard, some have been written in letters too small for us to read.
But whatever we do in life is still a personal experience. How we respond to it is a personal choice. We have similar stories, but our personal experience of our own life makes it different. So, what’s your story?

Maru kept a doodle notebook back in college. I discovered it and it’s full of insights. I’ve decided to share some of them on this blog because she doesn’t have a Tumblr account. I would be sharing some from our own journal as well.

I am thankful for friends who are spontaneous because I live in a world where plans don’t really push through.
